The Rock & Roll Chef®

For those who may have heard of the NAMM Show (National Association Of Music Merchants), they know it's pretty much the holy grail for musicians. Closed to the public, it's a huge deal featuring anything & everything related to music - including the musicians who play and endorse the products.

It was a last-minute decision for me to go, and it wasn't even the initial reason I was headed to L.A. in the first place - that's another story. But my hope & feeling is that some of the people I met & interviewed will open new doors, leading to fun & opportunities...

I met Mike Miller at Carmichael's Steakhouse in Chicago's West Loop at a Big Green Egg event. Mike saw a vacuum for decent-looking, all-weather rolling kitchen cabinets as a "nest" for ceramic grills. His stuff looks great... AND I WANT ONE!!!

Finally got approval on some video I produced as a barter with Larry Aldag at the Il Dept Of Agriculture. Long story short: As a food manufacturer (Totally Chipotle), I'm always hearing from them about participating in trade shows, buyer's missions, etc - but there's not a lot of content to give a clear picture of what's waiting there. And so... In return for a booth space at their show, I offered to produce a quickie video, to be featured on the Dept Of Ag website. Although it's admittedly not real fancy, I'm not sure if there's any other video on their site yet. Discuss....
